Clinical Practice Education

Clinical Practice Education Team

Meet the team.

The CPE Team work alongside clinical staff, creating a workforce that is prepared for current and future clinical practice. This requires various initiatives to deliver programmes, to promote quality clinical practice designed to empower patients. Some of these initiatives are described below.

PROGRESS Preceptorship

The journey from student to registered practitioner is an exciting and sometimes challenging experience. The PROGRESS Preceptorship programme at Lincolnshire Community Health Services (LCHS) is dynamic and multi-professional. Our aim is to provide the necessary support that will enable staff to consolidate their learning to become confident practitioners who deliver high quality, safe patient care, with professional attitudes, values and behaviours.

PROGRESS at LCHS spans one year (including the Edward Jenner programme), which commences from the date a programme is accessed. Blended learning utilises a mix of theoretical, evidence based information and practical experience, which will consolidate existing knowledge and support the development of both existing and new skills.

Further important information about Preceptorship is contained within the LCHS Preceptorship Policy (2018)

PROGRESS for Preceptors

Therapy Outcome Measures

The Therapy Outcome Measure (TOM) is an outcome measure that the AHP workforce will be introducing into their patient care.  TOMS allows professionals from many disciplines working in health, social care and education to describe the relative abilities and difficulties of a patient/client in the four domains of ‘impairment’, ‘activity’, ‘participation’ and ‘wellbeing’ in order to monitor changes over time.
