Induction & Mandatory Training

Statutory/Mandatory training is stipulated as a minimum requirement and is, therefore, compulsory. Mandatory training is concerned with minimising risk, providing assurance against policies and ensuring the organisation meets external standards in line with the Skills for Health framework.

All existing staff and new starters within LCHS are expected to attend face to face training each year in order to maintain compliance with local and national standards for the 9 core subjects.

1. Conflict Resolution

2. Equality, Diversity & Human Rights

3. Fire Safety

4. Health, Safety & Welfare

5. Infection prevention & Control

6. Information Governance (England)

7. Moving & Handling

8. Resuscitation

9. Safeguarding Adults & Children level 1,2 & 3

The face to face programme includes scenario and enquiry based learning and is of an interactive nature. Each session is opened by a Director or Deputy Director of the Trust which provides staff with timely updates in addition to the opportunity to ask questions, network with other teams and share ideas and good practice.

Core Mandatory Training

In line with the Trust’s commitment to providing a value for money service, ALL mandatory training courses including the trust induction will take place at the trust headquarters (Beech House) in Lincoln from 1st January 2017.

In order to allow for any additional travelling time the current programme has been adjusted and the day will now start at 9.45am.

The number of sessions provided has been based on staff numbers and additional sessions will not be available, therefore, it is essential that staff are booked over the course of the year and do not fail to attend.

Please be aware car parking space is limited at Beech House, and staff are encouraged to car share wherever possible. You can use the LCHS staff network page to express your interest in car sharing.

Please let us know if you have any special requirements.

SHOULD THE DATE YOU HAVE BEEN ALLOCATED BE UNSUITABLE OR YOU DO NOT APPEAR TO HAVE A FUTURE BOOKING YOU MUST CONTACT THE TEAM TO REARRANGE.
